‘Primary Emotional Support’ is operated by mental health professionals, providing primary emotional support in public spaces to anyone in need. We are a community of approximately one hundred therapists from various fields in mental health, clinical psychology, art therapy (expression and creation), and social work. We believe that every person in Israel has the right to receive emotional support, especially during these challenging days when the need for emotional support is acute.
According to a unique and innovative model developed at Reichman University, we exit the traditional clinic and provide primary emotional support in public spaces; diagnosing, addressing symptoms of anxiety and/or depression, and referring to further treatment when necessary. Our innovative intervention enables us to provide accessible, personal and tailored support to a wide range of situations, needs, and communities in Israel. Simultaneously, we attempt to reduce the stigmas associated with receiving mental health treatment and raise awareness of the importance of receiving emotional support.
